Associate Professor Basia Diug is the Head of Undergraduate Courses and the Head (Quality and Innovation) of the Medical Education Research and Quality (MERQ) unit at the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. She joined the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM) in 2006. She has experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as research design and project management. Assoc. Prof Diug resaerch in medical education has a strong focus on impoving research literacy amongst clinicians. Further, her interests include assessments with a particular focus on standard setting and the failing student. Assoc. Prof Diug was the recipient of the 2015 Vice-Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence and a 2015 Monash Education Academy Fellowship.
