Joshua Zadro

Dr Joshua Zadro is a Physiotherapist and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, The University of Sydney. He completed his PhD at the end of 2017, with a research focus on physical activity-based self-management strategies for people with chronic back pain. He is currently working within the Wiser Healthcare Research Collaboration (NHMRC Program Grant and Centre for Research Excellence) and investigating strategies to replace low-value physiotherapy with high-value physiotherapy. In less than 4 years being an active researcher, he has published 17 first-author journal articles in high impact spine, musculoskeletal and physiotherapy journals, and has made 28 conference presentations across leading national and international conferences in his field (e.g. Preventing Overdiagnosis 2018; International Back & Neck Pain Forum 2016, 2017). He continues to work clinicially as a physiotherapist and has taught in the physiotherapy curriculum at the University of Sydney.
