Nola Ries

Nola M Ries is an Associate Professor and member of the Law Health Justice Research Centre at the Faculty of Law, University of Technology Sydney, Australia. Nola has expertise in health law and policy, with a focus on: legal aspects of health system reform; governance of health research; and law, ageing and health. She has trained in law, social and behavioural sciences and publishes widely in law, health and policy journals, with over 50 peer-reviewed articles and approximately 45 book chapters, major reports and commissioned papers. Nola's current research on the medico-legal aspects of low value care is funded by an Avant Foundation Project Grant. Nola previously practiced law in Canada and has been admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
