Health Consumers Council (WA) Inc
Pip Brennan has worked in the community sector for the last 18 years. Inspired by her own experiences of the confusing maternity care system, Pip initially volunteered as a maternity consumer representative in a range of roles. She began her paid health career as an Advocate working at the Health Consumers’ Council WA (HCC) from 2006. She moved on to the state's complaint commission for two years before returning to the not for profit sector to run a childbirth education and post natal support organisation. She spent a year at the WA Council of Social Service working on an outcomes based contracting project before taking on the role of Executive Director of the Health Consumers Council WA in January 2015. As a health NGO professional she is a firm believer in the value of consumers being at the decision-making table. In 2017-2018 she was a Panel Member for the state's Sustainable Health Review and sits as a consumer advocate on the state intergovernmental and NGO Sector Supporting Communities Forum.
